It is with enormous sadness that I am letting you know that our Admin, Shaker, has decided to move on, leaving me with the reins.

Shaker set up this forum in 1995, to provide a home for the community then displaced from No Greater Love. He has gone out of his way to try to ensure that this forum represents a fair and balanced place for discussion - and I for one, will miss him hugely.

This forum has only ever been a labour of love. None of us earn anything from it - all of us give our time for free.

We started with an original desire to minimise censorship, but events have made us tighten the rules a little.

I would appreciate if people would volunteer for moderator duties - I can limit moderation to just parts of the board, but I would like some balance, so this doesn't become one sided.

So - Shaker - thank you very much for all your time and hard work. You will be sorely missed, and I hope you come back (feel free to take the reins back!)

Oh shit! Steve is one of the guys I feel most akin to on these boards, and I always think of him with affection.

But when love walks in, everything else pales to insignificance, and I wish him well with his romance and future life!

Good luck, man!

Oh!  That's sad - I hope all is well in his world and it's nothing untoward that has caused him to make that decision.

Thanks Shaker for creating this space for those of us who used to frequent the old NGL.  So-long, farewell, auf weider . . . etc. xx

Can I also echo everybody elses good wishes and thanks to you for providing this space.

I hope all is well in your world - another poster implies that "Love is in the Air" if so that is grand - and you shouldn't waste valuable time on here trying to dissuade others from their particular delusions.

After all - they'll go on believing it anyway.

Thanks for everything - most of all thanks for the times when you get so splendidly splenetic. (Hope that's a word - but you know what I mean!)

Blimey Lexi, I wish it had been! It was August 2008 - I know, it feels like years. This forum was set on on spec when Little Angel closed down the mothership, No Greater Love (still online but barely active).

I hope this doesn't mean you're leaving the forum, Shaker; I've always enjoyed your posts here and elsewhere, even though we don't agree on everything.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I'll be around from time to time. I can't be shaken (*cough*) off that easily

You're right - where did I get 1995 from?

I managed to give myself concussion on Friday hitting my head on a beam in the attic - must have been that
