Have you had yours yet?

Flu - if you are lucky enough never to have had it - is awful.

Having the flu jab both protects you - and reduces the risk of flu spreading in an epidemic across the country. So having the jab is also helping to protect society.

My husband had a pneumonia jab too for the first time, but I am wondering if he should have another. He had a minor seizure four days later, which wiped his memory for about 24 hrs. He hadn't had any epileptic activity for about 2/3years, so I can't help thinking the pneumonia jab might have been the culprit.

Just a reminder - if anyone hasn't yet had the jab....

Flu is now on the rise, and we are getting people going down with flu round here. So please, if you can, and haven't yet - get vaccinated.

Thank you.

But, no thank you.  I'm not in an 'at risk' group, and I'm not paying for it.

You could come to regret this decision.

I had flu - about 15 years ago now.
I was SO ill. I began to be ill on 31 Dec. By 10pm I had to retire to bed. I didn't get up again for 3 days. My temp remained above 39 degrees with paracetamol and ibuprofen. I returned home 5 days later, and tried to go back to work. I was so exhausted when I arrived, that I was sent home and signed off for another week.

I've had flu in the past too.

"Extremely poorly" doesn't even skim the surface.  It took me more than a month to recover.

Still not having the jab - if the health authorities feel it's so important we have it - I pay my taxes and National Insurance contributions, so don't charge me for it.
