2013 - Plans to see Performances?

Any plans to go an see something next year? I'm debating getting tickets to take the kids to see the opera Otello. I want to take them to see a Shakespeare play, but they seem very few and far between. We took them to see Phantom of the Opera last year, and they all absolutely loved it.

Gonna get up to Glasgow's Celtic Connections festival next month. I have a few ideas as to which artists I want to see, but I have a couple of tickets which are burning a hole in my wallet.
I've been a few times before.
Celtic Connections is a brilliant way to keep the festivities going right through Burns night!

Otello is perhaps my favourite opera - Act IV in its entirety is one of the greatest works of genius of Western classical music I know. By a complete coincidence (or is it? I don't know) Othello is also my favourite Shakespeare play.

I know that it's a long way and would be a faff to organise but at least look into and consider taking the chilblains to the Globe - that really is Shakespare as it was meant to be (and, as far as we can tell, really was) seen. Really up-front, up-close and personal to say the least: if you're right at the front, up by the end of the stage, you're within touching distance of the actors. Unforgettable experience.

I would love to take them to see something at the Globe. Its just the travelling and possible staying overnight. Could be expensive. But I might look into it for the summer.
