Book Club

How about we start a book club?

We could pick fiction - or a religious type book?

One book per month?

Any takers and suggestions?

I've just bought (but not yet read) Chris Stringers "Homo Britannicus" - which is about the development of human life in Britain. But I'm open to suggestions.

Jim mentioned a book the other day - and I can't find the thread.

I would appreciate though if we kept page length below 500 for now - I don't have a great amount of time.

Ooh; my brother has just lent me that, so I'm in. Good idea.

Any more takers?

I've just started reading the book - and it would be interesting to get a creationist view.

Incidentally, apparently one of the early scientists to point out that flint tools predated the Bible was Michele Mercati, Director of the Vatican Botanical Gardens in the 17th century.

Chapter 1 addressed the creationist issues, and the evidence that led even Clergymen to reject the theory that the world was only a few thousand years old.

So far I'm impressed. The book seems to concentrate on the evidence, and putting this together like a jigsaw puzzle.
