Hi to all from Ralph

Hi everybody. I am Ralph. I am a christian without a religion, which means that i attend no established religious organization. I am a father of six and a grandfather of seven. My oldest and youngest sons are active Mormons. I am not anti-Mormon, however, I do like the ethics of the religion it just has some doctrine that I cannot agree with.

I have been a Christian for nearly forty years now. Prior to that i was a very undesirable character who was converted by a spell in hospital as a result of my activities. I love my God and his son Jesus Christ with all my heart, mind and soul. I believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God. I believe that the holy Ghost has testified to my soul that God lives and that if i adhere to the teachings of the Gospel i can obtain exaltation.

i do not like confrontation, however, I stand by my beliefs regardless of consequences. Please feel free to critique my beliefs. It always strengthens by testimony of my God and enjoy being made to think.

i am not a scholar and my grammar can and does let me down at times. I have 3 'A' Levels, a HND in Building Services and a Honors Degree in Environmental Engineering. I finished the Degree in 1995 but have not really kept up with it.

i hope to have some interesting debates here

Kind Regards

It is interesting that you say this. This morning Dawkins has published a report from his Society for the Statement of the Bleedin Obvious (or whatever they're called), wherein at some expense his disciples have discovered that not all Christians go to church. Shock, horror, hold the front page, etc.

I think Dawkins is trying to pretend to believe that these people are therefore not really Christians.

Hi, Ralph.
Good to see you made it here. It's a bit quieter, but the debate is good, also.

Wow. Hi Jim

Boy, isn't it good to see you here. I'm genuinely over the moon. I think I would have missed reading your post the most. I know I never answered many but that is because I recognized that your knowledge of the scriptures far exceeds mine so I read and learn from them.

Cyberman

Thanks for the welcome. I think I might have known you from the R&E Forum, or some other past life.

I read an interesting article a couple of weeks ago that said that 80% of the British public believed in a God of some sort but that only a small percentage went to church. In the USA it is 95%. I think that when you take off agnostics and the "Don't Knows" atheism is still pretty much in the minority. But Dawkin's would be the last to mention that.

Hi Ralph nice to see you enjoy this forum it can get firey
Farmer Geddon

Can I just call you Wiggum Ralph?

Don't post much on the forums these days as my opinions are a bit too raw for most Christians...

But I do pop my head over the parapet every now and then, only to get a Cree throw shit at it, when I throw it back at him he runs home crying to his Granny and I get a holiday!!

Not read much of your stuff on the R&E forum, but what I read earlier is; it's not your public rantings that were the problem, but the abusive private PM's.

Way to make yourself popular Ralph!!

Enjoy your time here..  It's impossible to get banned here, so you can rant in public for all to see, instead of in private!!

Have Fun.......

Hi Farmer Geddon

You are probably right, however, Wigginhall and Oak King were lying about that. I hope it is alright to do this but this is the PM I sent

Quote:
Hi Wigginhall, I have to let you know that I am very disappointed with your decision to ban me from using the forum for 13 days. In my opinion I was clearly the victim and Richard Forrest and NearlySane were the aggressors. My only crime was to complain about being harassed and bullied and then wake up the next morning being suspended for three days which then increased to 13.

You cannot keep banning members without announcing it to the members and secretly removing their post without telling them why. Trolling is not a good enough reason. People get into the habit of posting on here and to remove them simply for having an opinion is counterproductive when trying to increase membership, or at least that is what I hope is happening. If you are trying to create a clique of like-minded thinkers then the forum will be pretty boring as members will only be complimenting one another. The fear of members saying anything to you worried about the retribution is becoming all to obvious. You are getting more and more artificial complements from those who fear that if they say what they feel they will be the next ones on suspension.

I have no intentions of coming back here so you just as well make my ban permanent. I have now joined Premier so I am enjoying the luxury of playing on a level pitch.

Is this abusive? Maybe it is but i did not think so. Please also note that I sent this last night and only today did he decide to announce that MG was banned.   MG was in the process of exposing Oak King when his thread was locked, for no apparent reason. and MG disappeared off the members list.

Hi Leonard,

Well I am a theist and you are an atheist so we are not going to agree on that subject. We will hopefully have disagreements rather than colorful displays.'' We probably have little to disagree about anything else, but we are all different aren't we. I promise not to be hurtful to your person and will only debate the content of your post if you do me the same honor.

Leonard it was nice of you to welcome me here. I did not expect it but I do appreciate it.

Morning Ralph,

Your post has taken me aback ... on two counts. Firstly that you express surprise that I should welcome you! I assure you, my friend, that I welcome any friend to the boards whether I agree with their views or not. The only people I'm not overjoyed to see are those who do nothing but look for the holes in everything I post, and don't say anything apart from that. It's impossible to have a meaningful exchange with such types.

Secondly, don't ever worry about saying 'hurtful' things to me ... I have the hide of a rhinoceros, and am little affected by such things. You are clearly a more sensitive soul, so I will try my best to measure my comments. I certainly never intend to hurt anybody's feelings, but for somebody like me who is impervious to such things, it is often difficult to judge.

I apologise if I have ever offended you in that way, and will try to do better.

Best wishes,
Leonard.

Well. I would like to say the same but I have only just got here and haven't looked around.

Leonard, thank you very much for your kind words. The reason I said surprised is that I did not consider you my biggest fan and would be glad to see the back of me. There are people who I thought had some liking for me on R&E but their comments since my absence have proven otherwise

i would be lying if i said that you had not offended me but I do not wear the skin of a rhinoceros, having said that, i have not always been kind to you and regardless as to whether you can take it or not it does not make my actions right so it is I who must apologize to you. "To those that much is given, much is expected". I very much believe that we should criticize the post and not the poster. There is no excuse for it therefore if I have done it I have no excuse and must apologies.

Don't measure your comments too much. I do like my beliefs to be scrutinized, I just don't like personal insults

Oh, I understand now! I certainly disagree strongly with many of your posts, but I recognise that you are perfectly entitled to express your views, just as we all are ... but that is a far cry from wanting to see you leave the forum!

I'm glad we have cleared the air ... now I can get down to disagreeing with what you post!

There is nothing more useful than pointing out the errors in your assertions. You should thank those who do for taking the time to educate you.

Leonard, Thank you. What you have said is very much appreciated. If we only disagree on theism them we will be fine. I do not go around chanting the Lords Prayer or trying to get people through the Church gates. My life is more than my religion as i am sure your life is more then you disbelief in it.

As for getting down to disagreeing with my post. I will see what I can do for you shortly. Take Care Leonard

Hi Ralph

Unfortunately there is a problem, a christian will say in the name of goodnes we have to kill maim and destroy, and on the other side, in the name of badness we have to kill maim and destroy.

What has God got to say as to what a man should do?

Patriotism, like religion, is a powerful divider! I hope we will one day grow out of both of them and recogniise that we are all one social species, and squabbling amongst ourselves is not the way to go.

And certainly the moderation is much more "hands off".

Hi trentvoyager,

No, our paths have never crossed, however, you do know me. I am the one you made this comment about on the R&E forum"That was certainly how my reading of the posts interpreted it."

Oak_King_Exposed is of course me. It should not have taken a genius to work that one out, so i am very surprised that they are still speculating. If you know what you are doing they cannot stop you posting or PMing members at least. I just wanted a chance to answer some of the lies about me. I am surprised that old Wigginhall didn't erase them before anybody saw them. May I just ask you not to believe all that is written about me, especially that I have one of a number identities. I have one, me. I also did not send abusive PMs. If you would like to see the PM I sent I am more than willing to send it to you.

Any way, that is a different life now. Thank you for your welcome. I am Christian so we are in different corners of the ring, I believe. That does not mean we should fight dirty though. It is religion we are debating, I am not after your job. Lets try and keep it into perspective. Be warned though, my views are not necessarily the views of main stream religion. My belief can be abstract and off the wall but I can stand to be corrected

Kind Regards

Ralph

Floo, what does this make you sound kike.

Quote:
Ralph is crowing on nglreturns about being Oak_King_Exposed, whom I thought was Gilli, so I got that wrong, and Gilli is crowing! It still doesn't excuse his nastiness toward Oak King, who as a Pagan is a much better Christian than he will ever be!

You didn't just get it wrong it was a monumental mistake. To think it was MG makes you look like who you are Nastiness to Oak King. Oak King banned MG to shut him up. How can you say i am nasty. What planet do you live on. How can Oak King be a better christian than i am. He is a Pagan not a christian, aside from which, it is not a race.

What about old NearlySane. Still acting like he is a mode then, ordering you all around. Better warn Gonnagle that he might have to fight him off. He certainly put you in your place didn't he? I hope you do what he tells you to do

Ahay, Wigginhall shut you all up then. he locked the thread. He is Da Man, the controller. He put you in your place, didn't he?
