Mark 1:40-45. The love and insight of Christ.

There a few passages where Christ fails to move us or teach us true love.
His selflessness and ability to meet every need is shown in this passage of scripture and also with the man lowered through the roof by friends.
The leper having become isolated from friends and family and forced to shout unclean when near people comes to Christ and says,"If you want to you can heal me." Having remained untouched and isolated in a state of his flesh rotting and alone without company other than those forced to die the same death. Christ reaches out and touched him not after he heals him but before. Christs heart is clearly shown here and his understanding of how this man was feeling. He then says " I do want to heal you, be healed." If only everyone when asking for healing could see the heart of Christ and listen to the words he says.

"I do want to heal you."  When the man lowered down through roof Christ says to him your sins are forgiven... Then he says take up your bed and walk. What this man required moer than healing was his sins forgiven.
Christ showing he cares about the complete person.
For me this shows God not a respector of persons and that love holds no boundaries.

Gods love isn't fickle and it is not about choice. He loves everyone the same. We become guilty of sin when we love only those who love us...
Or judge and treat people by their outward appearance.
Christ is the one who provides all our needs...

Mark 1:40-45.

40.And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

41.And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

42.And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

43.And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

44.And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

45.But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

Absolutely. God's healing is complete - the whole person is his concern. This 'modern'/'New Age' notion of holistic (whole person) healing just is not, because it is without Christ. We are not whole without Christ.

Amen to that!  Smilie_PDT

Very true.

Showing love to all is the way.
