More random pics

Back by unpopular demand, now that I've managed to link thumbnails rather than full images I've trawled through the archive in search of a few more random photos from the last five years or so.

These were taken in the graveyard at Beckford's Tower, the burial place of the writer William Beckford (1760-1844), just outside Bath. They were taken on a brilliantly clear, gloriously sunny spring morning and the originals are a vivid blue and green and pin sharp, but I was playing about with Paintshop Pro one day aiming for a grainy, sepia-toned, nineteenth century daguerrotype gothic-y sort of feel. It was almost jolly while I was there: on a cold, wet and gloomy December afternoon just before dark the place must be incredibly atmospheric. I must go back

The frosty pictures were taken in December 2010, the hardest, heaviest frost I've ever known:

The Rollright Stones ... nearly as old as the band of a similar name:

Nice! Keep them coming!

Thank you - as madam pleases

A brief trip to the West Country a couple of years ago - the Roman Baths in ... well, Bath (that particular bit of water now incredibly dangerous, I learnt):

The Royal Crescent:

The nave of Wells Cathedral:

The appropriately-named owl-eyed strainer arches:

Glastonbury Tor:

A small part of the Chalice Well at Glastonbury, easily one of the loveliest and most peaceful places I've ever been:

An extremely friendly robin at the beautiful Chalice Well who came and sat by me (almost at my shoulder) for a good fifteen minutes:

Thanks Shaker ....  I liked the owl-eyed strainer archers!

Ooops, I think I forgot to make the puss a little smaller.

Nice ones Ketty!

However I think you've mis-labelled them. I see a UFO, a beam of light from the craft and some welrd aliens!

Be careful if you open these links in work, I got Shakers photo but also got something pop up I am sure he didn't intend.

Either that or the recreational computer at work has been used for some dodgy viewing

Julie

Edit" How odd, in Shakers original post they appear as three little squares with a cross, which I clicked on, but on my reply here I can see the photos"

Computers!  finickety things!"

No - he just comes up onto our balcony looks at us through the patio doors and then sits on the conservatory roof in the sun.

Lovely

We have a Squirrel drey fairly close to the house and they are quite interesting to watch, especially as there are no leaves at the moment.

The downside is our dog is quite indignant about their proximity to our house and barks a lot.

I shall have to get some photos of them, squirrels are quite bright.

Is this a celebration of Dan Mintz' ignorance? (Whoever he is).
Does this Mintz chap genuinely think that all religious people are homophobic? Does he genuinely believe that all homophobia is religious? Or is he just pretending to be an arsehole?
trentvoyager

Chill cyberman - its just a joke.

I certainly don't think that.

Really funny joke. Of course, there's nothing wrong with using offensive stereotypes if you're "only joking" is there?

Does the limp wrist prove difficult when you are carrying that pink poodle around?
