My dog and my garden.

A friend gave me my first digital camera on my birthday, and I am slowly learning to use it.

My dog, Koko.

Thank you, Ket! I promise not to go wild posting more ... I know how boring family pics can be!

Thank you, Cyber!

The mountain you can see in the pic is only really small sub-peak of the Lion. I will get on the roof when atmospheric conditions are right to take a pic of the mountain itself, and you will see why it is called the Sleeping Lion. I hasten to add that the roof is flat, so it won't involve ropes and ladders.

That sounds great. Sleeping Lion sounds quite an exciting name for a mountain.
Hey, is that anything to do with your profile picture?

Not really, Cyber. On a forum some years ago somebody referred to me as Lennie the Lion, and from then on everybody called me Lennie. So I just found a pic of a lion that looked a bit like I see myself (old and tranquil).

I'm impressed with your garden. And your dog .... He's gorgeous! I knew you had a garden but I hadn't realised you had a dog.

We have a cat, a dog, a fish, some tortoises and some love birds. We used to have quite a number of each (Hugh bred tortoises and love birds), but he's stopped now, so they are slowly being given away or dying off.

Sleeping Lion Mountain from my roof.

Come down Len, I'm sure it can't be as bad as all that.
IvyOwl

Are you quite sure he's asleep? Not just pretending to be and waiting his moment to pounce?

Hi Leo,
I just found your thread. Your flower garden is fantastic. Your piece of Spain looks interesting, I've always wanted to see Spain. As you get use to your camera you may want to share your garden and area pictures on my favorite gardening site, Wellies, wheelbarrows and wildlife. I found the site a few months back, it's a charming and friendly place.

Hi PW,

Thank you, my friend. I'll have a look at the site, but won't venture any more pics until I learn to use the camera properly ... and at my age that will take some time!
