Steady growth

I have recently joined a Spanish atheist forum which has nearly 3,000 members. It is heartening to see several new members joining every day, mostly from Spanish speaking countries. The movement seems unstoppable.

Fantástico!

There definitely does seem to be something in what you say: I've seen several stories within the past couple of months alone that suggest those unaffiliated with religion and even out-and-out, self-declared atheists are rising steeply in America, of all places.

I belong to a 'non religious' site and our numbers are steadily increasing.  :-)

Being increased by Muslims I take it!!

Fresh challenge BTW:

Quote:
><> Christ Jesus, Messiah Yeshua, is exactly who He said He is and was and always will be - fully God. ><> Our spiritual lives are reflected by the words that spill from our hearts onto the keyboard. ><> It is by the Fruit, they will be known.

#1 - By whose authority?

#2 - In that case what I do for a living is immaterial to the 'spirit' you follow.

#3 - Philosophy gone wrong....

Morning Ket,

Yes, I think people are becoming more aware the falsity of religion, which is one small step towards realising the falsity of 'God'.

No Lennie, it's just that people enjoy engaging with people - with no agenda other than finding enjoyable company.

Over the ten years, I've met loads of people from my 'non religious' site and many real-life friendships have been formed . . . including, in my case, an invitation to Spain.  Two of us were going to drive there, but sadly, an illness and subsequent death stopped our plans.

Hey ho.

It looks promising for Sarniajoy and I to meet . . . I'm looking forward to that.  If I present a good enough case perhaps she'll leave her house to me when she wins her million pounds.

Oh, I'm sorry Ket, I misunderstood. When you said 'non-religious site' I thought you meant non-religious in the sense of not reocgnising any religion but continuing to believe in God.

Hope springs eternal!

Anyway, what on earth would you want it for, you already have a home, don't you? 8)

  Yes, I have a home and there *is* a reason but it's nothing to do with wanting it for myself.

Oh fine, Ket, if you want to give it to a homeless family, then I hope you get it. 8)

Sounds good. It is encouraging for us oldies to see that things are moving in the right direction. :)
