who do you follow?

Many on this forum seem to think their idea of God is correct and one should follow their idea, do they not?

Most religions are the same are they not?

So who follows Jesus teachings and who does not?

When you say "religions" which ones did you have in mind? Islam? Buddhism?

Or did you mean denominations of Christianity?

As individuals, people often try very hard to follow what they see as the teachings of Jesus!

Those individuals come from a variety of different churches and backgrounds!

Sometimes other religions include the teachings of Jesus (as a wise person)
I did see a picture of Jesus along with many other people considered wise, in a Hindu temple!

Sometimes other religions recognise the humanity of the teachings of Jesus!
And of course he is considered a prophet in Islam!

Ever wondered why only JW's are considered not to have the perfect teachings?

Or why the clergy make a point of pointing to the faults of the WT but do not adjust their own faults?

Which religions are there moving into the light, and which keep excusing religious traditions?

When are we going to see the end of "false" religion James? Isn't it overdue according to your prediction?

Not.

The, to use your term, "real Christians"  on this forum follow the God of the Bible - the real One: the Triune Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

JamesJah wrote:

Not.

What do you mean by religion?   Christianity is the only one that worships The Lord God Almighty who is triune in nature: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

JamesJah wrote:

The simple answer is Christians and not-Christians, but we know that for those who know and understand it's not simple, so did you want names?

There's you and Delbert who preach a Jesus created from false roots.  Roots adulterated by Charles Taze Russell and Joseph Smith.

Those who follow the accurate teachings of Christ Jesus (I AM: the triune Godhead - God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit), and do not follow any add-ons such as the Watchtower or the Book of Mormon, are pretty obvious, I'd say.

I'm sure we have folk who are not disciples of Christ Jesus but think he's an okay kind-of-a-chap - an ordinary if charismatic guy.  I'm sure we don't have anyone here who follows Islam and who just consider Him to be some sort of prophet.

I think the posters who don't believe Christ Jesus is exactly who He says He is, or don't believe He existed at all are pretty much self-evident - but even many of those follow a sense of 'right and wrong' that could be said to be "christian" even if Christ is not at the centre.

No I have never wondered why only JW are considered not to have the perfect teachings?  Because no one has ever said " only" JW don't have it!

I don't think any church has perfect teachings, do they?

I think they all have their faults!

It is just which ones people feel close to!

There is nothing wrong with religious traditions, JW don't have many of them because they are fairly new, as denominations go!

If they pass around the bread and wine without partaking that is a religious tradition!

Not celebrating Christmas but having a party after, could also said to be a tradition if you keep at it!

Christians do (or try to). Muslims regard him as a prophet, so I guess at least some of them try to follow his teachings. I know some non-religious people see value in some of his teachings, though whether they would describe themselves as following them I'm not sure. erm.. Possibly Baha'i, I don't know a huge amount about them.  Who have I missed out?

Obviously the "who does not?" part of the question would require an impractically long list as an answer. The list might include Jews, Hindus, Pagans, Atheists, Babies, Freemasons and Scientologists.

How, then, does it have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy, a man, did this.’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go out and collect them?’ He said, ‘No, for fear that while collecting the weeds, you uproot the wheat with them. What the scriptures say.==

1 Timothy 4:7, 8
But reject irreverent false stories, like those told by old women. On the other hand, train yourself with godly devotion as your aim. For physical training is beneficial for a little, but godly devotion is beneficial for all things, as it holds promise of the life now and the life that is to come.

Matthew 7:13, 14
Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; 1whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it.

Bit of a stumble on the dodge there James. Are you allowed or permitted to support a sports team as a WT'ite?

As to the member of your congregation who attends according to the sporting calendar, who are you to judge him on that? He could be attending to God far more suitably in the stadium than in the KH

Who's judging?

Matthew 7:1-3
“Stop judging that you may not be judged; for with the judgment you are judging, you will be judged, and with the measure that you are measuring out, they will measure out to you. Why, then, do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye but do not notice the rafter in your own eye?

Should make a good read for those that have much to say about the WT, should it not?

I do  many here know the sacred secret of the judgement?>

Many on this forum seem to think their idea of God is correct and one should follow their idea, do they not?

Most religions are the same are they not?

So who follows Jesus teachings and who does not?

The remnant Israel follows The Word of YHWH.

Why do those in Kingdom Halls follow the teachings of a god, who they teach is not YHWH ?

Is Jehovah  not the God of the Jews?

You didn't answer the question as usual so I will repeat it

Why do those in Kingdom Halls follow the teachings of a god, who they teach is not YHWH ?

What teachings would they be?

Those which you referred too in your earlier post.

Where did Jesus say pray to the Father, son and holy ghost?

Nice side step James.

It is the only approach to the Father.

Are you saying the only approach to The Father is through, according to the WTBTS teaching, the name of another god ?

Exodus 23 NWT
13  “You must be careful to do all that I have said to you, and you must not mention the names of other gods; they should not be heard on your lips.

Matthew 5
17 “Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. 18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened. 19 So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

James are you teaching others to disobey the mitzvot ?

Wherever man is found to be calling on the name of who An·a·ni′as was speaking too.

Acts 9 NWT
13  But An·a·ni′as answered: “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, about all the harm he did to your holy ones in Jerusalem.14  And here he has authority from the chief priests to arrest all those calling on your name.”

No James its not secret it's easily discernable. Lets see if you have discernment.

Acts 9 NWT
13  But An·a·ni′as answered: “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, about all the harm he did to your holy ones in Jerusalem.14  And here he has authority from the chief priests to arrest all those calling on your name.”
