Be honest... how many of you responded to the thread knowing such clear rules?

Which is why I put my inital response on the formal debate rules thread. As Tom's first response was certainly not in the nature of a serious debate and answer to your OP the horse had fallen at the first hurdle! It was quite obvious that he at least  hadn't stuck to the rules even if you had (which of course I had no way of knowing).

So:

1.  What was the actual topic for debate, ie the one which had been previously run by Admin?

2.  Who are the two who had been identified to enter into the debate - clearly Lynne is one, so who is the other?

I see no subject to debate here - what is it that is "not ethical"?

Actually - can I suggest that Pukon and pow-wow take their discussion on the essence of Satan and put their points across here for us to digest!

If they are both game of course!!

Hi there the duck

in a lull i figure why not kick start something here just for the hell of it, so lets throw a bernie thought into the ring and see if we can get cooking.

Right:

In my opinion, note mine and not some hierachy in a guilde office.

God was and is, not much of anything doing, He writes the script for a play with a happy ending, then He promises Himself to achieve this, this is the word of God, His play, His promise to Himself, He gives Himself His word.
So in the begining is God and the word, His goal.

What is the essence of Satan?

Well to have a play you have to have players, a producer and director, and of course the old saying, ''it will be alright on the night''
of course for it to be alright on the night everyone must follow the script and if they don't want to stick with the script you have to get shot of them.
But  you could however give them a chance.

Well Satan like the guy who wants to alter the script and so far the rehearsals just aint looked nothing like the original script so it bodes that those who want to get back to the proper script and those who want to stay with the altered script be seperated and some sidelining done while the proper play gets a proper try out, say a thousand year, then give the players a chance to choose.

However God has given His word that it will be alright on the night,

That's a different version of the setup, Bernie, but just as valid as the other one, I suppose.

Hi Len (hug)

Yer, the first rehearsal was a disaster so some of the players had to be taken off the stage, however they still get their finger in from working off stage.

Just something to 'Play' arround with

Hi again Len.

Just smilling to meself after (for the first time) checking out your link, interesting, why I'm smilling is because you have played a reg sarg maj, I was once involved with the Lewisham operatic soc and walked out because I did not get the part of the sargeant in Oh what a lovely war, they gave it to a woman
Now as a youngster who sold papers on a street corner, and announced train destinations without amplification, I got a bit sore about that and therein began and ended my career on the stage

Else who knows I might have had the bungalow next door, innit

Hi Bernie-boy,

It seems we have other things in common ... I, too, was a paper-boy, although my work was less colourful than yours. I just went round shoving the papers through the clients letterboxes, but as it involved delivering several different newspapers it was a tad more complicated than handling one.

As far the RSM goes, I worked with a couple of actresses who could play the role far better than some men. Peggy Mount was one of them, and like her, my early days in the theatre were with Harry Hanson's Court Players ... although considerably later than her.

Happy days!
