Nice picture

My hobbies are cross stitch and reading.  I think I'd go crazy without something to keep me occupied.

Ok - I will admit to it.

I'm also a published poet, plus I knit, and you could probably call learning Greek a hobby...

On the other side I play civ 4 and the Sims 2 (looking forward to trying spore), listen to music most of the day...

Published in a 2008 diary and a book.

For the Love of Gardening

If words grew as easily as seedlings
In delicate rows of slow nurtured dreams,
Relationships would be trees, with strong roots
And shady fun, rattling reciprocal
Gold leaves, fruit intimating whispered tales
Of lawns manicured to perfection,
Edged by dirt-ringed flower beds.

But words become roses with secret thorns
Arrayed to pierce unwary fingers
With barbs of blood red comments reaping pain.
Yet such exquisite touch, scents velvet dreams,
A radiant passion for beauty flows
In ardent moments, mingled ecstasy...

The rouge which makes the weeding all worthwhile.

Hmm, hobbies ...

(1) Poker of every variation and type (though, given I'm "semi-pro", I suppose it's almost more of a job than a hobby)

(2) Gastronomic Adventures - forays in to the delightful worlds of food and drink

(3) Badminton, Fives, Fencing and Ballroom/Latin Dancing were all on the list until recently, and might get given another run!

(4) Chasing pretty girls (erm ... not in the hunting them down whilst they scream sense of the word "chase"   )

Bit of a transitional time for me, geographically, so have had to put a lot of them on hold :( Once I'm re-established back in Central I'll start playing sport again etc.

My allotment keeps me pretty busy most of the year - though not right at the moment.
I used to write endless poetry in my youth - utter tosh I should think
Learning Latin eh Paul? I keep thinking I should learn biblical Greek
