He works in mysterious ways, my friend.

Leonard,

I'm really sorry to hear you are unwell. You have mentioned your determination to overcome it, and I know you to be a man of strong mind and determination (stubborn old git..?) so I'm sure you will succeed.

Thanks, Cyber, and I acknowledge the epithet! In all my stubbornness I try never to hurt anyone, and reserve the unconditional right to express my point of view.

You're a model poster, Leonard, and I'm sure all would agree.
I can't imagine anyone ever trying to restrict your desire to express your point of view! Lord help 'em if they did.

Our Leonard is a role model of what a poster should be.

Take a bow my dear, if our minds are as sharp as yours when we get to your VERY GREAT age we will be doing well.    There is an aged rellie of mine who could do with taking a leaf out of your book. Mind you thank goodness they are not computer literate, the idea of them posting on a forum is too awful to contemplate.

Hi Roses,

Yes, it does surprise me that none of my companions of yesteryear seem to appear. They don't even have email, which is a shame for it is so much easier to keep in touch than by snail mail.

My Dad had bought a computer in his mid 70s and used it until a year before his death at 83. He had a lively mind almost until the end because he kept it stimulated.

I am convinced that an active mind and a happy disposition are the best weapons to keep the scythe-man at bay!
