His arguments appear to me to be more emotional than rational most of the time.

I look forward to him presenting the examples of the "plenty of Christians" who call Jesus "the Father".

You mean that the "Father who art in heaven" is different from Jesus? Wow this is really angels and pinheads stuff. Is Jesus just some sort of runner for the big man with all that power? And where does the Holy Ghost fit in? Which side of the old boy does He sit? It reminds me of the old apartheid expression "equal but separate"!

Was Jesus there at the creation of the universe 13.7 million years ago or not? Was He only at Bethlehem 2000 years ago? Do you have one Christian God or three?

And what are they doing today?     Nothing as usual! The point which you continue to dance around.

Yes.

Have you bothered reading Matthew ch9 yet or do you prefer to remain blissful in your ignorance?

Have you found any verifiable examples of Christians referring to Jesus as "the Father" as you claim that they do yet?

The Boyg quoting me:

Quote:

Quote:
Yes.

Huh! So Jesus isn't God!

I take your answer to mean that Jesus had nothing to do with the formation of the universe? So much for the Triune Godhead! No wonder the universe wasn't constructed of fig wood!

Oh, and before you accuse me of ignorance, perhaps you could explain why in the "inerrant word of God", the Bible, the old boy didn't even mention the Higgs boson? I would have thought a clever guy like Matthew would have slipped in word or two, being inspired n' all that?

And since you keeping asking for justifications of "Father", perhaps you could explain why your all powerful Triune Godhead allows evil in the world? Not only allows it, but actually condones it. According to the Bible of course! E.g. Noah's flood. Should I only blame the "Father" for that, or was Jesus hovering around with the Holy Ghost at the back of the throne?

All for one and one for all!

Jesus is God. God the Son. Jesus isn't called the Father by Christians as you claim.

Now, have you bothered reading Matthew ch9 yet as suggested or do you prefer to remain blissful in your ignorance? (On the basis of your last answer I'll assume the latter).

Have you found any verifiable examples of Christians referring to Jesus as "the Father" as you claim that they do yet? (On the basis of your last answer I'll assume not).

I imagine it is more comfortable for SceptiKarl to ignore my post.

(Cue derogatory but empty remark to disguise lack of response..)

I'm sorry gentlemen, but I'm really not up to discussing the intricacies of the Holy Trinity. Three persons in one, but only one God! Yes the philospophers have had a great time discussing such meaningless drivel, but AFAIC there is  but one Christian God, and many call  Him  "Father" and many call Him "Jesus"!

Angels and pinheads!

Fig trees and Jesus!

Cheers SK

That much is self-evident.

Yes, but the don't call the Father the Son and they don't call the Son the Father.

I'm glad that you've finally admitted that you commented on this from a position of ignorance previously though.

Yes The Boyg! I feel thoroughly humiliated by your superior knowledge of the Holy Trinity! Now what was it, three for the price of one, or one purchase buys three?

Yes , I know, well beyond mere human comprehension!

There's no need to feel humiliated.

You are clearly ignorant of the subject, that's all.

You have the power to rectify this situation for yourself so that you don't end up embarassed the next time you decide to pontificate about Christian beliefs.
