What things should real Christians not be doing this Easter?

What is the May pole a  symbol of?

Did God approve of the Jews worshiping sacred poles? How about Bel

worship?

Jeremiah 50:2
Declare it among the nations and proclaim it. Raise a signal and proclaim it. Do not hide anything! Say, ‘Babylon has been captured. Bel has been put to shame. Merodach has become terrified. Her images have been put to shame. Her disgusting idols have become terrified.

Jeremiah 51:44
I will turn my attention upon Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth what he has swallowed. And to him nations will stream no more. Also, the wall itself of Babylon must fall.

I've told you, don't pinch Farmer's drinks when he isn't looking; it isn't really Coke in that can.

Now, as far a May Poles are concerned - they have nothing whatsoever to do with Easter. Movable as it may be, Easter Day is never in May.

As the only actual words in the thread title are "Christians", "doing" and "Easter", and then you talk about May Poles and show us pictures from the ancient world of people holding sticks, I am trying to guess what you are saying to us.

I think your message is this:

"Hey, all you non-Christian Christian guys, you know how you will all be dancing round maypoles this Easter? Well don't, because that is what Ancient Egyptians did, and they were not cool"

(For some reason in my mind you sound today like Zaphod Beeblebrox. Possibly because your title only makes sense after a PanGalactic Gargle-Blaster).

Anyway, let me put your mind at rest. None of us will be dancing round maypoles this, or any, Easter.

MayPole dancing is not associated with Christianity. It is viewed (rightly or wrongly, I don't know) as a pagan practice, kept allive mostly by Morris Dancers who enjoy their pretend penises and whatnot.

Agreed, though I'd add that maypoles, bubnnies and eggs have this in common...they have diddly squat to do with Egypt or Christianity - a bit like Jw-ism, actually.

Er... before you waste everyone's time by doing a parrot impression and quoting the tripe from the WT, is there, perchance, any chance of you FINALLY telling me why you posted a photo of a Dyn IV king, Menkhaure...who was the grandson of the builder of Russell the antichrist's "Second Scripture in stone..." ?

I only teach scripture so why you keep bringing up some ancient bible student beats me?

Your Egyptians were into sex worship big time the same as most religions of today are.

So back to the law of the Christ do you know what it should be?
