Acts 10:30 has Cornelius saying "Four days ago I was fasting until this hour;..."  We don't know what day it was, but let's say  for the purpose of this question that it was a Thursday when he made the statement. To what day of the week would you think he was referring?

Tuesday with Friday being the night he stopped.

Actually it doesn't necessarily  mean he stopped on the Thursday. "Until" here is not meant to suggest that he broke his fast then, just that he kept it up to then. He could well have continued to fast.

Well, rstrats, lots of people have generously contributed to your thread and engaged with you. Any comments? Any gratitude? Any conversation? Any debate? Any point?

cyberman,
re:  "Well, rstrats, lots of people have generously contributed to your thread...Any gratitude?"

Of the 5 respondents, only 1 gave a serious answer as to what they thought the day was with regard to the OP question.    So I say thanks to Paul for giving an answer that I can use in the survey.

Everyone gave serious answers. Not all of them were the answers you wnated, but there it is.

Rose I think gave a direct answer about the day of the week.

Why do you refuse to discuss the issues (issues which you question clearly relates to ) with anyone?

cyberman,
re:  "Everyone gave serious answers."

In the immortal words of John McEnroe: "You can't possibly be serious."

Ketty - "Why do you think the day is significant?"
No answer with regard to the day asked for in the OP.

Floo - "Does it really matter?"
No answer with regard to the day asked for in the OP.

Rose - "Tuesday with Friday being the night he stopped."
She can't be serious with saying it was "Tuesday".

cyberman - "...don't know what rstrats angle is."

You didn't state your opinion as to the day asked for in the OP.  You merely mentioned what someone else might say about it.

re:  "Why do you refuse to discuss the issues..."

That would be for another topic.  For the purpose of this one, I'm only interested in answers to the question in the OP survey.  Maybe you could start a new topic if you're really concerned with any issues that this survey might bring up.

So, in what passes for your mind, a "serious" answer is an answer which gives exactly what you were demanding?

You're a bossy little twerp, aren't you?

My question was a serious reply to the OP.  Shame the opening poster feels incapable of answering why s/he considers the day of the week to be significant.  I'm sure they have their reasons.

I shall move on  since it appears that I'm only going to get a bunch of grief here, .  I guess I should feel lucky that I got the one applicable reply that I did.

It genuinely hasn't entered your head that it would be courteous to let us know why you are asking, has it?

No manners at all. A rude and demanding little man.
