As it's Christmas week, and I dare say many if not most of us will be busy doing all sorts and dashing about here and there in final preparation (I know I will be), let me use this opportunity to wish everybody on NGLR a very merry Christmas, however you celebrate it and whatever it means to you, and a happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous new year. It's been an interesting year - NGLR will be four months old exactly on Christmas Day  Smilie_PDT  I'd like to extend my sincere gratitude to Lexilogio and Shaft2101 who have done sterling work acting as forum moderators - not an onerous task, but one that at times does require people skills and a keen sense of judgement and balance that would make Solomon look like a bumbling wazzock, both of which they've displayed in spades    It remains to be seen what the future brings, but I know the past four months have been very enjoyable - long may we continue.

Anyway, here's to a smashing Christmas for us all :smt111

Aw Admin, I just knew that heart was made of marshmallow.  :smt058

Seriously, lovely sentiments which I reciprocate and also extend to one and all.

My personal thanks too to Shaft and Lexi - WONDERFUL and wise and intelligent Moderators.  It's a difficult job to perform with total impartiality and fairness plus it's a thankless task, but I absolutely appreciate them both.  When one's been at the receiving end of some questionable Modding, it's easy to recognise quality and they are both Quality! They should offer training.

Oooh yes, 'Mod School' . . . Admin as 'Head', Shaft and Lexi as teaching 'heads of department', I'm a brilliant administrator (it's a Biblical calling dontchaknow) and wouldn't mind being school secretary/PA . . .

Well as Solomon's wisdom was a gift and a blessing from God then I think that this is unlikely, furthermore....

  its not that sort of thread is it?

A very Happy and Festive Christmas to you all, after today I shall not be posting probably until after Christmas so thanks to you all for some lively, interesting and usually good tempered discussions here over the last few months.

Cheers
DG

And a Merry Christmas to everyone!

Admin has done a wonderful job with the forum - and Shafty is a great moderator.

But a forum is only as good as it's members - so the the thanks go out to all those who post here - and have a relaxing Christmas!

Ho Ho Ho - Merry Christmas my fellow forumites. And let us not neglect a Happy New Year. And a Happy Hannukah if that floats your boat.

Do we even mention Kwanzaa?

Lexi is bang on - a forum is only as good as its constituent members, which is why NGLR is so dreadful. I mean wonderful

Well done to Admin and Lexi for their continued discernment, even-handedness, and generally running a tight ship which doesn't need much guidance, but when it does there's a strong, calloused hand on the tiller

I agree with everyone about the Moderators.

I'm not going to be around until after Christmas and maybe New Year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Krysta
